Went for an engine light, was told it would be $250 to
Went for an engine light, was told it would be $250 to diagnose, up from $99 in 2019 due to "Inflation". Recommended knock sensor replacements and there may be potential rodent damage on the harness. Authorized the sensor replacement at $1800!! After they pulled apart the engine they said now they could inspect the harness and yes it did have rodent damage. Asked for another $1200 to replace a $100 harness and said I could submit that to insurance. Total gouging and potential insurance fraud. I told them I don't trust them and to give me the car back. Another $550 ($800 total) to put the car back together, which IMO should all have been part of a $250 diagnostic. After complaining a manager called me to try to resolve and he was asking the service advisor real time why it ballooned to $3000 and then proceeded to tell me taking the intakes off was really $5000 and this was a deal? So I am paying $800 for nothing on principle and taking to my local mechanic who will charge less than $2000. Been loyal to Holman service for years and have always brought my cars there. No more. Stay away!

Son bought a 88 F250 from GR Auto Gallery in GrandRapids
Son bought a 88 F250 from GR Auto Gallery in GrandRapids MI. Paid 10 grand,said it was solid,mileage was correct etc. Broke down on the way home. Several days later w little communication they said nothing was wrong w it. Picked it up and it ran like crap. Son put another 5 grand getting engine repaired. I wouldn't trust a word out their mouths. Did nothing to assist son w problems. Just my experience w them,maybe you'll have a better buy. I can say it was very clean.....worth about 4500 not 10. More reputable places out there.
