Steer Clear of Sales Associate Alex Tanger

I’m sure there are many people who have had great experiences at this Toyota dealership, but sadly, I have not. I’ve been going to this dealership for the past 5 years and have never been treated with such awful customer service. After leasing two vehicles from them and experiencing a quick and easy transaction, I figured I’d go back again to finance. Given the current circumstances caused by the pandemic, I can imagine things have been backed up (paperwork, car deliveries, etc.). With that being said, I did not have high expectations of my new vehicle being ready in the same day I bought it or even the next, but I was told by the sales associate, Alex Tanger, I was working with to expect it to my residence by mid-week (Wednesday), only a few days after my initial vehicle purchase. When I called Alex in the morning of that Wednesday to get the specifics on my car delivery, he sounded shocked to hear about how far away my residence was from the dealership, mind you we talked specifics during our sales transaction earlier in the week and he assured me that delivery would be possible within the same week of my purchase. At that time, he told me it would likely not be able to be delivered to me on the current day but the next day, Thursday. He said he’d iron out the delivery details and give me a call back later that day. Five-thirty rolled around (half hour before dealership closing time) and I heard nothing, so I gave Alex another call. This time, he said because of how far away I lived I wouldn’t be able to get my vehicle delivered to me until the following week and if I wanted it sooner I had to come pick it up myself. I discussed with him previously that I’d be working 9-5 all week and would be unable to get to the vehicle for quite some time. Not only was I transparent with Alex during our transaction about how far I lived, it was discussed and stated on all my paperwork that I lived an hour and a half away from the dealership. When I stated this fact to Alex, he said that it was my fault because I chose to come to a dealership that was so far away from my residence and there was nothing that he could do for me. Then, I asked to speak with a manager and was told none were available, but he would have them call me back. I have yet to hear from anyone and I’d really appreciate being able to have possession of my vehicle. Alex Tanger needs to develop his customer service skills before trying to “service” anyone else. Steer clear of this sales associate if you have the chance.

I didn't end up purchasing a vehicle from this place but the experience there was great. The sales people are amazing. Definitely going to purchase my next vehicle from them.

My fiance went here to see about another vehicle. We wanted to trade in her old car and they gave us the amount on kelly blue book however there was a car she really wanted so they really looked at the car and gave her even more for her trade in. Then she decided she really didnt want that one because they were going to add a sun roof which was stupid so they found another vehicle at another prime and they would have it sent there. Well when the paperwork came out they gave her the low ball from kelly blue book not the more trade vaule! beware! we will never come back here and make sure everyone we have referred here as well do not come back! Also the gentleman she was going with never got back to her after she was diagnosed with cancer and told him she couldnt afford the monthly payments and asked if we could get the higher value for her car! he said he would get back to her never did!!!
