I visited with my daughter. She's 17. She saved money to buy a used car. The dealership was physically nice. Someone greeted us right away. They told us the car we wanted to look at was actually getting inspected and wasn't available to view. I asked about a 2020 Camry. The salesperson immediately shared how "expensive" (because it was $25K). He asked if it was in the budget. That's a fair question. I asked if we could see a Camry so that she could see how much it cost with the features she wants. He then doubled down that it was pricey. That's when I realized he was basically saying we couldn't afford it. I shared again that I wanted to see a 2020 Camry, as Edmunds.com says that's the best year for used Camrys. He again mentioned the price. I'm currently in the market to buy 3 cars, one for the 17 yr old (that I will likely supplement her savings to buy), one for another child and one for a commuter car. I just bought a car for my 20 yr old. This was a very unfortunate experience. Even my daughter felt disrespected and as if the language was condescending. To make it worse, he never said his name or offered to take ours to let us know when the car that was supposedly in the shop would be available for viewing. I'll keep my money and will not spend it here. They lost a potential and immediate 3-car sale.

They did not do work I paid for, acknowledged it, then
They did not do work I paid for, acknowledged it, then backpedaled, saying it was done. My daughter at College Park had her rims stolen. Then DARCARS Toyota of Silver Spring took advantage of us by sending an authorization for additional work including the purchase of four lug nuts and reprogrammed tire sensors, as well as an alignment. I picked up the car and the flat tire alert was on. I assumed it would go away. It did not. I get home and realize that the four lug nuts I paid for are missing: one from each wheel. The person I dealt with said to bring the car back Tuesday, adding he'd vacuum the glass out, which he meant to do, but I live hours away. I just want my money back for services that were not rendered. He then said he saw the work done to it. I asked if he's saying I'm lying or that someone stole the lug nuts off the car parked in my home garage. No reply. I asked for the service manager to call me but he instead called my daughter (unaware of all this) right before 5pm Saturday and said, "So, what's wrong with your car?" She tried to give him my number but he said for me to call him back Tuesday after the holiday, but I do not have his name or his number (just the main number of the dealership where I cannot get through to the service manager). DARCARS Toyota of Silver Spring dropped the ball, then tried to cover up the mistake, now just silence, withholding my money for services they did not do. They misrepresented things and tried to gaslight me.

The staff at Darcars in Silver Spring where great to work with this morning and yesterday. Friendly, funny, and just good people. Kevin Garcia and Shokhore Rozario where amazing. Honest, straight forward and kind. No upselling or talking me into things I don't need. Not only was this a great experience for me, it was a great experience for my son who is 18. The standard of service and customer relationship here at Darcars is really next level. Thank you all for a great car buying adventure and memory
