Franklin Toyota

My husband and myself just traded our 22 Hilander Limited for a 26 Grand Highlander. We are so very happy with our purchase and the whole buying experience. Our sales man "The Hammer" was so friendly and knowledgable. He worked for us to make the deal happen and got us the deal we wanted. We are referring a family member and a friend to "The Hammer" because we know he will take care of them just like family!

We took our Toyota Tacoma truck in because the tire we had just recently had Franklin Toyota Service Department put on had a defect in the sidewall causing it to lose air. We asked if it was still under manufacturers warranty. They stated yes, it was and replaced it and only charged for mounting and balance. We picked up and paid on a Friday. On Monday they called and stated that the manufacturer will not cover the tire and that we owe almost $300. I said, "No, don't think so!" You can't come back after the transaction is closed after we paid in full and then state that we owe more money. They should have contacted the manufacturer and made absolute sure it would be covered under the warranty prior to replacing the tire, closing the transaction and allowing us to leave the property. This was their lack of follow through and their screw up and then they try to place it on us! I would expect this kind of workmanship from a shady tire place but not from a Toyota dealership! That's what you pay the dealership for, quality and upright practices. Apparently I was wrong!!
