I have been going to Toyota South for service of my car

Reviewed by kenyetta76.kfDecember 01, 2025

I have been going to Toyota South for service of my car for over a year now. I went last year and had front and rear brakes done. So after a while I started hearing the noise from my brakes. Took my car back to them twice and they told me it was brake dust and I would probably hear it for awhile after they supposedly had done something to correct the issue. Well here I am a year later noise got louder and louder. Decided to take my car to a different dealership. I get a call and the advisor tells me that Toyota South didn’t do the brakes correctly. Brake pads were glazed, non reusable shims were reused multiple times. Slide pins were not greased and shims had wrong type of grease. It had pink rubber grease. I immediately called Toyota South to inform them of what the other dealership had just told me. I was transferred to a manager who didn’t answer. I left a message on 11/28 and have yet to hear back from anyone at Toyota South. The receptionist asked if I wanted to bring the car in and let them check it. I should not have had to pay for basically a new brake job when I just paid for it last year. Toyota South do better!
