DISAPPOINTING EXPERIENCE IN SERVICE DEPARTMENT

Horrible experience getting our car fixed here. We came back 4 times within a week and every time we came back they tried to upsell us on an error that they failed to correct. Very disappointed in the inspection process. There needs to be better quality check points before handing the car to your customer. Every time we came back there seemed to be a different story. I'm convinced that the team is focused on up-selling rather than the safety of their customers.

I am VERY, VERY disappointed with this process. Let me walk you through my experience: (1) On 4/4/20, I brought my car in for the Airbag Module Recall. At that time, they upsold me on a host of items which included: New Tires, 4 Wheel Alignment, New Thermostat, New Gasket, New Waterpump, New V-belt. We felt good leaving knowing that we had a peace of mind that our car was fixed. When we got home, the tire light came on. We drove back and they fixed the light. NO BIG DEAL. (2) The next day, the SRS Airbag Light comes on. When we brought in the car, they said it would cost $680 to fix and had nothing to do with the recall as it's being triggered by something completely different. I found it odd that we never had this problem before and yet this light comes up after we bring in our vehicle for the recall fix. Thankfully, we asked for a second-opinion and they said the original tech had it wrong. They ended up fixing the issue as it was a damaged pin connector in the filter harness. A little annoyed but FINE. (3) Two days later, while at home I realize on the diagnostic report a RED indicator and it stated the wheel alignment FAILED. What I'm disgusted about is nobody even said anything to me after I picked up my car. In response, they said I shouldn't worry about it -- but if I want it fixed, I need a new $3600 axel and new rear brakes. What is going on here? The team at Frank Toyota needs to get aligned and there needs to be better communication to the customer. In the end, they were able to realign the vehicle so that it passed the test. Why give a customer a diagnostic report that shows FAILED (IN RED) without advising to them what's needed to repair. And for a Customer Service Manager to respond back, "don't worry about it" is unacceptable. I paid for said services, including a multi-point inspection. Where is the thorough inspection? Where is the transparency and communication in all of this? Where is the quality check in all of this? Do you guys drive the car before handing it over to the customer triple check everything is good? We just had a newborn son and live in Los Angeles. We are so disappointed in this experience especially because our SAFETY was compromised. We will not be coming back.
