Poor Customer Service

Came in on Sunday, May 9 to see about taking care of my tire. Seeing that they weren't able to do it, they helped out by putting in my spare so I can drive my Sienna safely. Issues and headache started from there. First of all, it was dead. I mean dead, the other employees commented that we came at a good time. Which was perfect because I wanted to be in and out and spend the rest of the day celebrating mother's day. First of all, they couldn't locate the spare. Then we proceed to explain that we have a breathelizer and to not let the car run or it will beep. Even the service man knew that we will be charged to reset it. Well... we knew something was wrong after waiting for an hour. After trying to find someone, they tell us that they are trying to find a tool to get to the spare and should be done soon. 45 minutes later (and it was dead at this place), they pull our car up which should not be able to happen with the breathelizer. We hear the device violation going off, long loud beep. So my husband goes to the van and we are very upset now. Also they didn't put any seat cover like other Toyota service center. The service man just got out of the car and literally ran off. We go to the service crew and question what happens and why this is happening. The manager lady comes out, pretty much said that the crew makes mistakes every day and that it is our fault. Also, she does not want us to ever come back as a customer. Very unprofessional response. No apologies. We now have to take care of another issue, probably have to pay due to the crew not following simple directions. I am very turned off by Toyota now and don't plan to buy another one, especially since I need to get another vehicle very soon. Toyota need to do better customer service training. Went to Cost Co instead for my tires, better service, customer service, and follows directions.

Poor Experience with Service Department

I have a Toyota Highlander and it runs wonderfully well with nary an issue. I am not writing about my purchase experience, which was great. If you are thinking about buying a Toyota, you are heading down a good path. I am writing about my service experience. Based on my single interactions with three different members of the service team at Miller Toyota of Anaheim, I cannot recommend servicing your vehicle at Miller Toyota. I was driving west on the 91 to pick up my daughters from school when one of my rear tires blew out. I exited the freeway on Euclid and turned into Miller Toyota. Based on my purchasing experience, I didn't think I would have an issue; but wow, I did indeed encounter some issues. My tire was completely flat. First, I asked if the service department had someone who they could send out to help. A gentlemen assured me that he would have someone right out. After waiting over 10 minutes, no one came out. I took out my spare and then headed back to the service department as I still needed to borrow a jack. The gentlemen I spoke to was no longer at his desk, so I went into the office next door and talked to another gentlemen. Similarly to the first person, he said "no problem" and that he would send someone out with a jack (Highlander comes with jack, but mine doesn't function). After waiting 15 minutes and still no one coming out, I went to back to the service department. In the third office was the service manager. I patiently waited for her to finish her phone call. When she was finished, I told her about my experience. This encounter was the most bizarre and discouraging of the three. She informed me that they could not simply help me for free. Instead, she would charge me. I told her that I would solve it out on my own and she said that she would have be towed because I could not change a tire on her lot. I then said, ok, I will call AAA. She said that they could not change a tire on her lot either. While I was upset because I was a good Toyota customer and thought I might get better help, I simply walked back to my car. I called AAA and they arrived swiftly to help. Toyota personnel could have performed better by either (a) telling me from the beginning that they could not help, which would have allowed me to call AAA from the start and pick up my daughters from school on time, or (b) letting me borrow a jack, which would have allowed me to pick up my daughters from school on time.

From the moment I walked in, to the moment I left I had such an incredible experience. The service advisor (Adan) was really welcoming & very friendly. He took care of me the way any employee should care for their customers! I will definitely be coming back.
