We had a wonderful experience. We just went to see a new Toyota Highlander and our salesman Eric showed us the right one! We had no problem with our purchase. We are very pleased with Lynch Toyota and the Staff

Confused!!!!!

Reviewed by Thomas Brown from Auburn, AlabamaApril 26, 2021

I found the perfect used car for my son at Lynch. The sales person had NO personality, never followed up on questions I had asked, was very insensitive to the fact that my wife and I both wore mask -he did not wear ( I took that as a political statement), I am high risk with cancer n cannot be maskless people. It was obvious the associate had no desire to sell me a car. I can only pray it was not because of the color of my skin nor the fact I protected him and myself by wearing a mask.

after we made a deal, car sold to someone else

Reviewed by Brent from Brandon, MSOctober 31, 2020

I tried to buy a used vehicle that was listed for sale online through Carfax. The salesman and I made a deal late Friday over the phone for a price to include everything except sales tax, which I would pay in my home state when I registered the vehicle. The next morning, I received a price breakdown, which included sales tax to be collected. I asked for the name of the office manager, so I could make sure I wouldn't get hit with the same sales tax twice. I then got a call from Kevin Wheat, who identified himself as the sales manager and told me they sold the car to someone else. It looks to me like they listed this car for sale, but treated it like an auction and sold to the highest bidder.

Dealer Response

So sorry for the miscommunication Brent. The vehicle you had inquired about was on the lot and on sale for several weeks. We had many inquiries on this specific vehicle and had several salespeople working on making a deal with these customers. Our policy is to collect sales tax on all vehicles purchased. We have had some issues in the past with out of state buyers not registering the vehicle and the state comes back to us for the sales tax. This policy has been in effect at our store for several years. While negotiating over the way sales tax should be collected and why we needed to collect it, another buyer gave us money and purchased the vehicle. A business decision not a personal one. Again, sorry that this happened the way it did.
