The 2023 Subaru Forester is a compact crossover that seats five passengers. It has up to 9.2 inches of ground clearance.
Six trim levels are available: Base, Premium, Sport, Limited, Wilderness, and Touring. For the base trim, maximum cargo capacity is 74.2 cubic feet with the rear seat folded down. It lowers to 69.1 cubic feet for the other trims.
The Forester is powered by a standard 182-hp, 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine mated to a continuously variable automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. Fuel economy for the Forester is an EPA-estimated rating of 26/33 mpg city/highway.
