Comparison Review

Comfort
Passengers in the extended cab will be able to stretch out a lot more with the Nissan Titan XD than the RAM 1500 Classic. As far as headroom and legroom go, there's not much difference between the Nissan Titan XD and the RAM 1500 Classic.

Cost
There are a lot of factors to consider when calculating the overall cost of a vehicle. The main consideration is Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP). The Nissan Titan XD will definitely make more of a dent in your wallet than the RAM 1500 Classic, which has a much lower MSRP. Another consideration is the Destination Charge, which is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle to the dealer from where it's built. Both the Nissan Titan XD and the RAM 1500 Classic have similar Destination Charges.

Dimensions
The Nissan Titan XD is a little wider than the RAM 1500 Classic, so getting in and out of the car in a crowded parking lot may be a little more of a squeeze. If you go with the Nissan Titan XD, you may be circling the block looking for a space large enough to park more often than with the RAM 1500 Classic.

Drivetrain
Due to its much higher torque, the Nissan Titan XD does a much better job of transmitting the horsepower of the engine to the wheels than the RAM 1500 Classic.

Handling
The Nissan Titan XD has a significantly larger turning radius than the RAM 1500 Classic, making it much more difficult to maneuver in and out of tight spots.

Performance
When considering towing capacity, the Nissan Titan XD is clearly the choice over the RAM 1500 Classic for pulling heavy loads. In terms of horsepower, it's a virtual tie between the Nissan Titan XD and the RAM 1500 Classic.

Utility
The Nissan Titan XD has less seating than the RAM 1500 Classic, making the RAM 1500 Classic the better choice if you often have passengers.

Warranty
You'll have greater peace of mind with the more generous basic warranty of the Nissan Titan XD over that of the RAM 1500 Classic.
