Comparison Review

Comfort
Due to its greater rear head- and legroom, backseat passengers will be able to stretch out a lot more in the MINI MINI-Hardtop than the Subaru BRZ. As far as headroom and legroom go, there's not much difference between the MINI MINI-Hardtop and the Subaru BRZ in the front seats.

Convenience
You'll be making about the same number of stops at the gas station with the MINI MINI-Hardtop as you will with the Subaru BRZ, as they get the same number of miles per tank of gas.

Cost
There are a lot of factors to consider when calculating the overall cost of a vehicle. The main consideration is Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP). When looking only at MSRP, the MINI MINI-Hardtop will have less of an impact on your bank account than the Subaru BRZ. Another consideration is the Destination Charge, which is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle to the dealer from where it's built. In this case, the MINI MINI-Hardtop will cost less to deliver to the dealership than the Subaru BRZ.

Dimensions
Since the MINI MINI-Hardtop is much slimmer than the Subaru BRZ, it'll be much easier to find a wide enough space in a crowded parking lot. If you go with the MINI MINI-Hardtop, you'll have a much easier time finding a large enough space to park than you will with the Subaru BRZ.

Drivetrain
Due to its much higher torque, the engine of the MINI MINI-Hardtop does a much better job of transmitting power to the wheels than the Subaru BRZ.

Handling
The MINI MINI-Hardtop has about the same turning radius as the Subaru BRZ, allowing equal maneuverability in and out of tight spots.

Performance
The MINI MINI-Hardtop has less horsepower than the Subaru BRZ, so it will probably be somewhat slower.

Utility
In terms of seating you'll be able to fit the same number of people in both the MINI MINI-Hardtop and the Subaru BRZ. With its significantly greater cargo capacity, the MINI MINI-Hardtop will be able to haul more equipment or luggage than the Subaru BRZ.

Warranty
You'll have greater peace of mind with the more generous basic warranty of the MINI MINI-Hardtop than that of the Subaru BRZ.
