Comparison Review

Comfort
Due to its greater rear head- and legroom, backseat passengers will be able to stretch out a lot more in the Mercedes-Benz S-Class than the INFINITI Q50. As far as headroom and legroom go, there's not much difference between the Mercedes-Benz S-Class and the INFINITI Q50 in the front seats.

Convenience
You'll be making about the same number of stops at the gas station with the Mercedes-Benz S-Class as you will with the INFINITI Q50, as they get the same number of miles per tank of gas.

Cost
There are a lot of factors to consider when calculating the overall cost of a vehicle. The main consideration is Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP). The Mercedes-Benz S-Class will definitely make more of a dent in your wallet than the INFINITI Q50, which has a much lower MSRP. Another consideration is the Destination Charge, which is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle to the dealer from where it's built. The Mercedes-Benz S-Class and the INFINITI Q50 have similar Destination Charges.

Dimensions
Since the Mercedes-Benz S-Class is much wider than the INFINITI Q50, finding a wide enough spot in a parking lot may be a bit more challenging. If you go with the Mercedes-Benz S-Class, you may be circling the block looking for a space large enough to park more often than with the INFINITI Q50.

Drivetrain
Due to its much higher torque, the engine of the Mercedes-Benz S-Class does a much better job of transmitting power to the wheels than the INFINITI Q50.

Handling
The Mercedes-Benz S-Class has a significantly larger turning radius than the INFINITI Q50, making it much more difficult to maneuver in and out of tight spots.

Performance
When it comes to horsepower, the Mercedes-Benz S-Class has a much more powerful engine than the INFINITI Q50. However, something you should consider is that higher horsepower engines often command higher insurance premiums.

Utility
In terms of seating you'll be able to fit the same number of people in both the Mercedes-Benz S-Class and the INFINITI Q50. The Mercedes-Benz S-Class has less cargo capacity than the INFINITI Q50, which is okay if you don't need to move a lot in one trip.

Warranty
The INFINITI Q50 offers a little more coverage in its basic warranty than the Mercedes-Benz S-Class.
