Comparison Review

Comfort
Rear passengers will be able to stretch out a lot more in the Kia Telluride than in the Subaru Ascent. The Subaru Ascent will be a hit with tall drivers and their front seat passengers, since it has greater front head- and legroom than the Kia Telluride.

Convenience
You'll be making about the same number of stops at the gas station with the Kia Telluride as you will with the Subaru Ascent, as they are both able to travel similar distances on a tank of gas.

Cost
There are a lot of factors to consider when calculating the overall cost of a vehicle. The main consideration is Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP). When looking only at MSRP, the Kia Telluride will have less of an impact on your bank account than the Subaru Ascent. Another consideration is the Destination Charge, which is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle to the dealer from where it's built. The Destination Charge for the Kia Telluride is much higher than that for the Subaru Ascent.

Dimensions
Since the Kia Telluride is much wider than the Subaru Ascent, finding a wide enough spot in a parking lot may be a bit more challenging. When looking at overall length, the Kia Telluride takes up about the same amount of space in your garage as the Subaru Ascent.

Handling
The Kia Telluride has a significantly larger turning radius than the Subaru Ascent, making it much more difficult to maneuver in and out of tight spots.

Performance
If you've got something you need to pull, the Kia Telluride will do just as well as the Subaru Ascent, since they have about the same towing capacity. The Kia Telluride has a little more horsepower than the Subaru Ascent.

Powertrain
Due to its much higher torque, the Kia Telluride does a much better job of transmitting its engine's horsepower to its wheels than the Subaru Ascent.

Utility
The Kia Telluride has less seating than the Subaru Ascent, making the Subaru Ascent the better choice, if you need to chauffeur many passengers. You'll be able to fit about the same amount of groceries in the Kia Telluride as you will in the Subaru Ascent.

Warranty
You'll have greater peace of mind with the more generous basic warranty of the Kia Telluride than that of the Subaru Ascent.
