Comparison Review

Comfort
Due to its greater rear head- and legroom, backseat passengers will be able to stretch out a lot more in the Kia K5 than the Kia Rio. The Kia K5 will be a favorite with taller drivers due to its greater front head- and legroom than the Kia Rio.

Convenience
You'll be making about the same number of stops at the gas station with the Kia K5 as you will with the Kia Rio, as they get the same number of miles per tank of gas.

Cost
There are a lot of factors to consider when calculating the overall cost of a vehicle. The main consideration is Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP). The Kia K5 will definitely make more of a dent in your wallet than the Kia Rio, which has a much lower MSRP. Another consideration is the Destination Charge, which is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle to the dealer from where it's built. The Kia K5 and the Kia Rio have similar Destination Charges.

Dimensions
Since the Kia K5 is much wider than the Kia Rio, finding a wide enough spot in a parking lot may be a bit more challenging. If you go with the Kia K5, you may be circling the block looking for a space large enough to park more often than with the Kia Rio.

Handling
The Kia K5 has a larger turning radius than the Kia Rio, making it slightly more difficult to maneuver in and out of tight spots.

Performance
When it comes to horsepower, the Kia K5 has a much more powerful engine than the Kia Rio. However, something you should consider is that higher horsepower engines often command higher insurance premiums.

Powertrain
Due to its much higher torque, the engine of the Kia K5 does a much better job of transmitting power to the wheels than the Kia Rio.

Utility
In terms of seating you'll be able to fit the same number of people in both the Kia K5 and the Kia Rio. The Kia K5 has a roomier cargo area for holding your bags or other items than the Kia Rio.

Warranty
The Kia K5 comes with essentially the same basic warranty as the Kia Rio.
