Comparison Review

Comfort
Passengers in the back seat will be able to stretch out a lot more in the Honda Insight than the Hyundai Accent, due to its greater head- and legroom. As far as headroom and legroom go, there's not much difference between the Hyundai Accent and the Honda Insight in the front seats.

Convenience
You'll be making about the same number of stops at the gas station with the Hyundai Accent as you will with the Honda Insight, as they get the same number of miles per tank of gas.

Cost
There are a lot of factors to consider when calculating the overall cost of a vehicle. The main consideration is Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP). Based on MSRP, the Hyundai Accent is clearly a better financial choice over the Honda Insight. Another consideration is the Destination Charge, which is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle to the dealer from where it's built. The Hyundai Accent and the Honda Insight have similar Destination Charges.

Dimensions
Since the Hyundai Accent is much slimmer than the Honda Insight, it'll be much easier to find a wide enough space in a crowded parking lot. If you go with the Hyundai Accent, you'll have a much easier time finding a large enough space to park than you will with the Honda Insight.

Drivetrain
With somewhat higher torque, the engine of the Hyundai Accent transmits a bit more power to the wheels than the Honda Insight.

Handling
The Hyundai Accent has a smaller turning radius than the Honda Insight, allowing you to more easily maneuver in and out of tight spots.

Performance
When it comes to horsepower, the Hyundai Accent is somewhat more powerful than the Honda Insight.

Utility
In terms of seating you'll be able to fit the same number of people in both the Hyundai Accent and the Honda Insight. The Hyundai Accent has less cargo capacity than the Honda Insight, which is okay if you don't need to move a lot in one trip.

Warranty
You'll have greater peace of mind with the more generous basic warranty of the Hyundai Accent than that of the Honda Insight.
