Comparison Review

Comfort
Due to its greater rear head- and legroom, backseat passengers will be able to stretch out a lot more in the Honda Insight than the Hyundai Accent. As far as headroom and legroom go, there's not much difference between the Honda Insight and the Hyundai Accent in the front seats.

Convenience
You'll be making about the same number of stops at the gas station with the Honda Insight as you will with the Hyundai Accent, as they get the same number of miles per tank of gas.

Cost
There are a lot of factors to consider when calculating the overall cost of a vehicle. The main consideration is Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP). The Honda Insight will definitely make more of a dent in your wallet than the Hyundai Accent, which has a much lower MSRP. Another consideration is the Destination Charge, which is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle to the dealer from where it's built. The Honda Insight and the Hyundai Accent have similar Destination Charges.

Dimensions
Since the Honda Insight is much wider than the Hyundai Accent, finding a wide enough spot in a parking lot may be a bit more challenging. If you go with the Honda Insight, you may be circling the block looking for a space large enough to park more often than with the Hyundai Accent.

Handling
The Honda Insight has a larger turning radius than the Hyundai Accent, making it slightly more difficult to maneuver in and out of tight spots.

Performance
The Honda Insight has less horsepower than the Hyundai Accent, so it will probably be somewhat slower.

Powertrain
With its lower torque, the Honda Insight doesn't do as good a job transmitting power to its wheels as the Hyundai Accent.

Utility
In terms of seating you'll be able to fit the same number of people in both the Honda Insight and the Hyundai Accent. The Honda Insight has a roomier cargo area for holding your bags or other items than the Hyundai Accent.

Warranty
The basic warranty of the Honda Insight is not as nearly as extensive as that of the Hyundai Accent.
