Comparison Review

Comfort
Rear passengers will be able to stretch out a lot more in the GMC Terrain than in the FIAT 500X. As far as headroom and legroom go, there's not much difference between front seat comfort in the GMC Terrain and the FIAT 500X.

Convenience
The GMC Terrain requires fewer stops at the gas station than the FIAT 500X, making it more convenient to drive.

Cost
There are a lot of factors to consider when calculating the overall cost of a vehicle. The main consideration is Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP). The GMC Terrain is somewhat more expensive than the FIAT 500X. Another consideration is the Destination Charge, which is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle to the dealer from where it's built. The GMC Terrain carries a much lower Destination Charge than the FIAT 500X.

Dimensions
Since the GMC Terrain is much wider than the FIAT 500X, finding a wide enough spot in a parking lot may be a bit more challenging. If you go with the GMC Terrain, you may be circling the block looking for a space large enough to park more often than with the FIAT 500X.

Drivetrain
With its lower torque engine, the GMC Terrain doesn't do as good a job transmitting power to its wheels as the FIAT 500X.

Handling
The GMC Terrain has a larger turning radius than the FIAT 500X, making it slightly more difficult to maneuver in and out of tight spots.

Performance
In terms of towing capacity, the FIAT 500X is clearly the choice over the GMC Terrain for pulling heavy loads. The GMC Terrain has a little less horsepower than the FIAT 500X.

Utility
In terms of seating, you'll be able to fit about the same number of people in both the GMC Terrain and the FIAT 500X. With the GMC Terrain, you'll be able to haul more equipment or luggage than the FIAT 500X.

Warranty
The basic warranty of the GMC Terrain is not as nearly as extensive as that of the FIAT 500X.
