Comparison Review

Comfort
Passengers in the back seat will be able to stretch out a lot more in the Mercedes-Benz S-Class than the Genesis G80, due to its greater head- and legroom. As far as headroom and legroom go, there's not much difference between the Genesis G80 and the Mercedes-Benz S-Class in the front seats.

Convenience
You'll be making about the same number of stops at the gas station with the Genesis G80 as you will with the Mercedes-Benz S-Class, as they get the same number of miles per tank of gas.

Cost
There are a lot of factors to consider when calculating the overall cost of a vehicle. The main consideration is Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP). Based on MSRP, the Genesis G80 is clearly a better financial choice over the Mercedes-Benz S-Class. Another consideration is the Destination Charge, which is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle to the dealer from where it's built. The Genesis G80 will cost more in transportation costs than the Mercedes-Benz S-Class.

Dimensions
The Genesis G80 is a little wider than the Mercedes-Benz S-Class, so getting in and out of the car in a crowded parking lot may be a little more of a squeeze. If you go with the Genesis G80, you'll have a much easier time finding a large enough space to park than you will with the Mercedes-Benz S-Class.

Handling
The Genesis G80 has a smaller turning radius than the Mercedes-Benz S-Class, allowing you to more easily maneuver in and out of tight spots.

Performance
When it comes to horsepower, the Genesis G80 is significantly less powerful than the Mercedes-Benz S-Class. The good news is that, reportedly, cars with lower horsepower engines often have lower insurance premiums.

Powertrain
The Genesis G80 has much less torque than the Mercedes-Benz S-Class, which generally means that it won't feel as fast or powerful.

Utility
In terms of seating you'll be able to fit the same number of people in both the Genesis G80 and the Mercedes-Benz S-Class. The Genesis G80 has a roomier cargo area for holding your bags or other items than the Mercedes-Benz S-Class.

Warranty
You'll have greater peace of mind with the more generous basic warranty of the Genesis G80 than that of the Mercedes-Benz S-Class.
