Comparison Review

Comfort
Rear passengers will be able to stretch out a lot more in the Ford Edge than in the Jeep Wrangler. The Ford Edge offers just a little more front head- and legroom than the Jeep Wrangler, making it a little more comfortable for the driver and front passenger.

Convenience
You'll be making about the same number of stops at the gas station with the Ford Edge as you will with the Jeep Wrangler, as they are both able to travel similar distances on a tank of gas.

Cost
There are a lot of factors to consider when calculating the overall cost of a vehicle. The main consideration is Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP). When looking only at MSRP, the Ford Edge will have less of an impact on your bank account than the Jeep Wrangler. Another consideration is the Destination Charge, which is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle to the dealer from where it's built. The Ford Edge carries a much lower Destination Charge than the Jeep Wrangler.

Dimensions
Since the Ford Edge is much wider than the Jeep Wrangler, finding a wide enough spot in a parking lot may be a bit more challenging. When looking at overall length, the Ford Edge takes up about the same amount of space in your garage as the Jeep Wrangler.

Handling
The Ford Edge has a smaller turning radius than the Jeep Wrangler, allowing you to more easily maneuver in and out of tight spots.

Performance
In terms of towing capacity, the Jeep Wrangler is clearly the choice over the Ford Edge for pulling heavy loads. The Ford Edge has a little less horsepower than the Jeep Wrangler.

Powertrain
With its lower torque engine, the Ford Edge doesn't do as good a job transmitting power to its wheels as the Jeep Wrangler.

Utility
In terms of seating, you'll be able to fit about the same number of people in both the Ford Edge and the Jeep Wrangler. You'll be able to fit about the same amount of groceries in the Ford Edge as you will in the Jeep Wrangler.

Warranty
The Ford Edge comes with essentially the same basic warranty as the Jeep Wrangler.
