Comparison Review

Comfort
The Cadillac XT4 offers rear passengers about the same room to stretch out as the Mazda CX-9, with comparable head- and legroom. The Cadillac XT4 will be popular with taller drivers and passengers in the front seat, due to its greater front head- and legroom than the Mazda CX-9.

Convenience
You'll be making about the same number of stops at the gas station with the Cadillac XT4 as you will with the Mazda CX-9, as they are both able to travel similar distances on a tank of gas.

Cost
There are a lot of factors to consider when calculating the overall cost of a vehicle. The main consideration is Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP). The Cadillac XT4 is somewhat more expensive than the Mazda CX-9. Another consideration is the Destination Charge, which is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle to the dealer from where it's built. The Cadillac XT4 carries a much lower Destination Charge than the Mazda CX-9.

Dimensions
The Cadillac XT4 is a little narrower than the Mazda CX-9, so you'll have an easier time getting in and out of the car in a tight parking spot. If you go with the Cadillac XT4, you'll have a much easier time finding a large enough space to park than you will with the Mazda CX-9.

Drivetrain
With its lower torque engine, the Cadillac XT4 doesn't do as good a job transmitting power to its wheels as the Mazda CX-9.

Handling
The Cadillac XT4 has a smaller turning radius than the Mazda CX-9, allowing you to more easily maneuver in and out of tight spots.

Performance
If you've got something you need to pull, the Cadillac XT4 will do just as well as the Mazda CX-9, since they have about the same towing capacity. The Cadillac XT4 has a little more horsepower than the Mazda CX-9.

Utility
The Cadillac XT4 has less seating than the Mazda CX-9, making the Mazda CX-9 the better choice, if you need to chauffeur many passengers. The Cadillac XT4 has significantly less cargo capacity than the Mazda CX-9.

Warranty
You'll have greater peace of mind with the more generous basic warranty of the Cadillac XT4 than that of the Mazda CX-9.
