Comparison Review

Comfort
As far as headroom and legroom go, there's not much difference between the BMW Z4 and the Mercedes-Benz C-Class in the front seats.

Convenience
The Mercedes-Benz C-Class requires fewer visits to the gas station than the BMW Z4, making it more convenient to drive.

Cost
There are a lot of factors to consider when calculating the overall cost of a vehicle. The main consideration is Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP). When looking only at MSRP, the BMW Z4 will have less of an impact on your bank account than the Mercedes-Benz C-Class. Another consideration is the Destination Charge, which is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle to the dealer from where it's built. The BMW Z4 and the Mercedes-Benz C-Class have similar Destination Charges.

Dimensions
Since the BMW Z4 is much wider than the Mercedes-Benz C-Class, finding a wide enough spot in a parking lot may be a bit more challenging. If you go with the BMW Z4, you'll have a much easier time finding a large enough space to park than you will with the Mercedes-Benz C-Class.

Drivetrain
With somewhat higher torque, the engine of the BMW Z4 transmits a bit more power to the wheels than the Mercedes-Benz C-Class.

Handling
The BMW Z4 has about the same turning radius as the Mercedes-Benz C-Class, allowing equal maneuverability in and out of tight spots.

Performance
In terms of horsepower, it's basically a tie between the BMW Z4 and the Mercedes-Benz C-Class.

Utility
The BMW Z4 has less seating than the Mercedes-Benz C-Class, making the Mercedes-Benz C-Class the better choice if you need to chauffeur many passengers. The BMW Z4 has a roomier cargo area for holding your bags or other items than the Mercedes-Benz C-Class.

Warranty
The BMW Z4 comes with essentially the same basic warranty as the Mercedes-Benz C-Class.
