Comparison Review

Convenience
You'll be making about the same number of stops at the gas station with the BMW X6 as you will with the Mercedes-Benz GLS 450, as they are both able to travel similar distances on a tank of gas.

Cost
There are a lot of factors to consider when calculating the overall cost of a vehicle. The main consideration is Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP). When looking only at MSRP, the BMW X6 will have less of an impact on your bank account than the Mercedes-Benz GLS 450. Another consideration is the Destination Charge, which is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle to the dealer from where it's built. Both the BMW X6 and the Mercedes-Benz GLS 450 have similar Destination Charges.

Dimensions
Since the BMW X6 is much wider than the Mercedes-Benz GLS 450, finding a wide enough spot in a parking lot may be a bit more challenging. If you go with the BMW X6, you'll have a much easier time finding a large enough space to park than you will with the Mercedes-Benz GLS 450.

Drivetrain
With its lower torque engine, the BMW X6 doesn't do as good a job transmitting power to its wheels as the Mercedes-Benz GLS 450.

Performance
With the Mercedes-Benz GLS 450, you'll be able to pull heavier loads than with the BMW X6. The BMW X6 has a little less horsepower than the Mercedes-Benz GLS 450.

Utility
The BMW X6 has less seating than the Mercedes-Benz GLS 450, making the Mercedes-Benz GLS 450 the better choice, if you need to chauffeur many passengers.

Warranty
The BMW X6 comes with essentially the same basic warranty as the Mercedes-Benz GLS 450.
