Comparison Review

Comfort
The BMW M4 offers rear passengers about the same space to stretch out as the Mercedes-Benz S-Class with comparable rear head- and legroom in both vehicles. As far as headroom and legroom go, there's not much difference between the BMW M4 and the Mercedes-Benz S-Class in the front seats.

Convenience
With the Mercedes-Benz S-Class you will definitely be making less frequent stops at the gas station than with the BMW M4, due to its tank size and fuel economy.

Cost
There are a lot of factors to consider when calculating the overall cost of a vehicle. The main consideration is Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP). Based on MSRP, the BMW M4 is clearly a better financial choice over the Mercedes-Benz S-Class. Another consideration is the Destination Charge, which is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle to the dealer from where it's built. The BMW M4 and the Mercedes-Benz S-Class have similar Destination Charges.

Dimensions
The BMW M4 is a little narrower than the Mercedes-Benz S-Class, so you'll have an easier time getting in and out of the car in a tight parking spot. If you go with the BMW M4, you'll have a much easier time finding a large enough space to park than you will with the Mercedes-Benz S-Class.

Performance
The BMW M4 has less horsepower than the Mercedes-Benz S-Class, so it will probably be somewhat slower.

Powertrain
The BMW M4 has much less torque than the Mercedes-Benz S-Class, which generally means that it won't feel as fast or powerful.

Utility
In terms of seating you'll be able to fit the same number of people in both the BMW M4 and the Mercedes-Benz S-Class. The BMW M4 has significantly less cargo room than the Mercedes-Benz S-Class, which may be a concern if you do a lot of warehouse shopping.

Warranty
The BMW M4 comes with essentially the same basic warranty as the Mercedes-Benz S-Class.
