Comparison Review

Comfort
The BMW M4 offers rear passengers about the same space to stretch out as the BMW M240 with comparable rear head- and legroom in both vehicles. As far as headroom and legroom go, there's not much difference between the BMW M4 and the BMW M240 in the front seats.

Convenience
You'll be making about the same number of stops at the gas station with the BMW M4 as you will with the BMW M240, as they get the same number of miles per tank of gas.

Cost
There are a lot of factors to consider when calculating the overall cost of a vehicle. The main consideration is Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP). The BMW M4 will definitely make more of a dent in your wallet than the BMW M240, which has a much lower MSRP. Another consideration is the Destination Charge, which is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle to the dealer from where it's built. The BMW M4 and the BMW M240 have similar Destination Charges.

Dimensions
Since the BMW M4 is much wider than the BMW M240, finding a wide enough spot in a parking lot may be a bit more challenging. For some people, bigger is better. If that's the case for you, then you'll be happier with the BMW M4, which is slightly longer than the BMW M240.

Drivetrain
With somewhat higher torque, the engine of the BMW M4 transmits a bit more power to the wheels than the BMW M240.

Handling
The BMW M4 has a significantly larger turning radius than the BMW M240, making it much more difficult to maneuver in and out of tight spots.

Performance
When it comes to horsepower, the BMW M4 is somewhat more powerful than the BMW M240.

Utility
In terms of seating you'll be able to fit the same number of people in both the BMW M4 and the BMW M240. The BMW M4 has significantly less cargo room than the BMW M240, which may be a concern if you do a lot of warehouse shopping.

Warranty
The BMW M4 comes with essentially the same basic warranty as the BMW M240.
