Comparison Review

Comfort
Passengers in the back seat will feel a little more squished in the BMW M240 than in the MINI MINI-Convertible, due to the BMW M240's smaller rear head- and legroom. As far as headroom and legroom go, there's not much difference between the BMW M240 and the MINI MINI-Convertible in the front seats.

Convenience
You'll be making about the same number of stops at the gas station with the BMW M240 as you will with the MINI MINI-Convertible, as they get the same number of miles per tank of gas.

Cost
There are a lot of factors to consider when calculating the overall cost of a vehicle. The main consideration is Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP). The BMW M240 will definitely make more of a dent in your wallet than the MINI MINI-Convertible, which has a much lower MSRP. Another consideration is the Destination Charge, which is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle to the dealer from where it's built. The Destination Charge for the BMW M240 is much higher than that for the MINI MINI-Convertible.

Dimensions
Since the BMW M240 is much wider than the MINI MINI-Convertible, finding a wide enough spot in a parking lot may be a bit more challenging. If you go with the BMW M240, you may be circling the block looking for a space large enough to park more often than with the MINI MINI-Convertible.

Drivetrain
Due to its much higher torque, the engine of the BMW M240 does a much better job of transmitting power to the wheels than the MINI MINI-Convertible.

Handling
The BMW M240 has about the same turning radius as the MINI MINI-Convertible, allowing equal maneuverability in and out of tight spots.

Performance
When it comes to horsepower, the BMW M240 has a much more powerful engine than the MINI MINI-Convertible. However, something you should consider is that higher horsepower engines often command higher insurance premiums.

Utility
In terms of seating you'll be able to fit the same number of people in both the BMW M240 and the MINI MINI-Convertible. With its significantly greater cargo capacity, the BMW M240 will be able to haul more equipment or luggage than the MINI MINI-Convertible.

Warranty
The BMW M240 comes with essentially the same basic warranty as the MINI MINI-Convertible.
