Comparison Review

Comfort
Due to its greater rear head- and legroom, backseat passengers will be able to stretch out a lot more in the BMW 750 than the BMW 540. Offering just a little more front head- and legroom than the BMW 540, the BMW 750 may be a little roomier and more comfortable for the driver and front seat passengers.

Convenience
You'll be making about the same number of stops at the gas station with the BMW 750 as you will with the BMW 540, as they get the same number of miles per tank of gas.

Cost
There are a lot of factors to consider when calculating the overall cost of a vehicle. The main consideration is Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP). The BMW 750 will definitely make more of a dent in your wallet than the BMW 540, which has a much lower MSRP. Another consideration is the Destination Charge, which is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle to the dealer from where it's built. The BMW 750 and the BMW 540 have similar Destination Charges.

Dimensions
The BMW 750 is a little wider than the BMW 540, so getting in and out of the car in a crowded parking lot may be a little more of a squeeze. If you go with the BMW 750, you may be circling the block looking for a space large enough to park more often than with the BMW 540.

Drivetrain
Due to its much higher torque, the engine of the BMW 750 does a much better job of transmitting power to the wheels than the BMW 540.

Handling
The BMW 750 has a larger turning radius than the BMW 540, making it slightly more difficult to maneuver in and out of tight spots.

Performance
When it comes to horsepower, the BMW 750 has a much more powerful engine than the BMW 540. However, something you should consider is that higher horsepower engines often command higher insurance premiums.

Utility
In terms of seating you'll be able to fit the same number of people in both the BMW 750 and the BMW 540. You'll be able to fit about the same amount of groceries into the BMW 750 as you will in the BMW 540.

Warranty
The BMW 750 comes with essentially the same basic warranty as the BMW 540.
