Comparison Review

Due to its greater rear head- and legroom, backseat passengers will be able to stretch out a lot more in the BMW 740 than the BMW M340. As far as headroom and legroom go, there's not much difference between the BMW 740 and the BMW M340 in the front seats.

The BMW 740 will require fewer stops at the gas station than the BMW M340, making it more convenient to drive.

There are a lot of factors to consider when calculating the overall cost of a vehicle. The main consideration is Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP). The BMW 740 will definitely make more of a dent in your wallet than the BMW M340, which has a much lower MSRP. Another consideration is the Destination Charge, which is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle to the dealer from where it's built. The BMW 740 and the BMW M340 have similar Destination Charges.

Since the BMW 740 is much wider than the BMW M340, finding a wide enough spot in a parking lot may be a bit more challenging. If you go with the BMW 740, you may be circling the block looking for a space large enough to park more often than with the BMW M340.

The BMW 740 has a significantly larger turning radius than the BMW M340, making it much more difficult to maneuver in and out of tight spots.

The BMW 740 has less horsepower than the BMW M340, so it will probably be somewhat slower.

With its lower torque, the BMW 740 doesn't do as good a job transmitting power to its wheels as the BMW M340.

In terms of seating you'll be able to fit the same number of people in both the BMW 740 and the BMW M340. The BMW 740 has a roomier cargo area for holding your bags or other items than the BMW M340.

The BMW 740 comes with essentially the same basic warranty as the BMW M340.
