Comparison Review

Comfort
The BMW 530 offers a bit more room for passengers in the back seat than the Cadillac CTS. The Cadillac CTS will be a favorite with taller drivers due to its greater front head- and legroom than the BMW 530.

Convenience
The BMW 530 will require fewer stops at the gas station than the Cadillac CTS, making it more convenient to drive.

Cost
There are a lot of factors to consider when calculating the overall cost of a vehicle. The main consideration is Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP). When looking only at MSRP, the BMW 530 will have less of an impact on your bank account than the Cadillac CTS. Another consideration is the Destination Charge, which is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle to the dealer from where it's built. The BMW 530 and the Cadillac CTS have similar Destination Charges.

Dimensions
The BMW 530 is a little wider than the Cadillac CTS, so getting in and out of the car in a crowded parking lot may be a little more of a squeeze. When looking at overall length, the BMW 530 takes up about the same amount of space in your garage as the Cadillac CTS.

Drivetrain
With its lower torque, the BMW 530 doesn't do as good a job transmitting power to its wheels as the Cadillac CTS.

Handling
The BMW 530 has a larger turning radius than the Cadillac CTS, making it slightly more difficult to maneuver in and out of tight spots.

Performance
When it comes to horsepower, the BMW 530 is significantly less powerful than the Cadillac CTS. The good news is that, reportedly, cars with lower horsepower engines often have lower insurance premiums.

Utility
In terms of seating you'll be able to fit the same number of people in both the BMW 530 and the Cadillac CTS. With its significantly greater cargo capacity, the BMW 530 will be able to haul more equipment or luggage than the Cadillac CTS.

Warranty
The BMW 530 comes with essentially the same basic warranty as the Cadillac CTS.
