Comparison Review

Comfort
The BMW 440 offers rear passengers about the same space to stretch out as the BMW M2 with comparable rear head- and legroom in both vehicles. As far as headroom and legroom go, there's not much difference between the BMW 440 and the BMW M2 in the front seats.

Convenience
With the BMW 440 you will definitely be making fewer stops at the gas station than with the BMW M2, due to its larger tank size and better fuel economy.

Cost
There are a lot of factors to consider when calculating the overall cost of a vehicle. The main consideration is Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP). When looking only at MSRP, the BMW 440 will have less of an impact on your bank account than the BMW M2. Another consideration is the Destination Charge, which is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle to the dealer from where it's built. The BMW 440 and the BMW M2 have similar Destination Charges.

Dimensions
The BMW 440 is a little narrower than the BMW M2, so you'll have an easier time getting in and out of the car in a tight parking spot. For some people, bigger is better. If that's the case for you, then you'll be happier with the BMW 440, which is slightly longer than the BMW M2.

Drivetrain
With its lower torque, the BMW 440 doesn't do as good a job transmitting power to its wheels as the BMW M2.

Handling
The BMW 440 has a smaller turning radius than the BMW M2, allowing you to more easily maneuver in and out of tight spots.

Performance
When it comes to horsepower, the BMW 440 is significantly less powerful than the BMW M2. The good news is that, reportedly, cars with lower horsepower engines often have lower insurance premiums.

Utility
In terms of seating you'll be able to fit the same number of people in both the BMW 440 and the BMW M2. The BMW 440 has a roomier cargo area for holding your bags or other items than the BMW M2.

Warranty
The BMW 440 comes with essentially the same basic warranty as the BMW M2.
