Comparison Review

Comfort
The BMW 440 offers rear passengers about the same space to stretch out as the BMW 230 with comparable rear head- and legroom in both vehicles. As far as headroom and legroom go, there's not much difference between the BMW 440 and the BMW 230 in the front seats.

Convenience
You'll be making about the same number of stops at the gas station with the BMW 440 as you will with the BMW 230, as they get the same number of miles per tank of gas.

Cost
There are a lot of factors to consider when calculating the overall cost of a vehicle. The main consideration is Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP). The BMW 440 will definitely make more of a dent in your wallet than the BMW 230, which has a much lower MSRP. Another consideration is the Destination Charge, which is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle to the dealer from where it's built. The BMW 440 and the BMW 230 have similar Destination Charges.

Dimensions
Since the BMW 440 is much wider than the BMW 230, finding a wide enough spot in a parking lot may be a bit more challenging. For some people, bigger is better. If that's the case for you, then you'll be happier with the BMW 440, which is slightly longer than the BMW 230.

Drivetrain
With somewhat higher torque, the engine of the BMW 440 transmits a bit more power to the wheels than the BMW 230.

Handling
The BMW 440 has a larger turning radius than the BMW 230, making it slightly more difficult to maneuver in and out of tight spots.

Performance
When it comes to horsepower, the BMW 440 is somewhat more powerful than the BMW 230.

Utility
In terms of seating you'll be able to fit the same number of people in both the BMW 440 and the BMW 230. The BMW 440 has a roomier cargo area for holding your bags or other items than the BMW 230.

Warranty
The BMW 440 comes with essentially the same basic warranty as the BMW 230.
