Comparison Review

Comfort
Due to its greater rear head- and legroom, backseat passengers will be able to stretch out a lot more in the BMW 230 than the Lexus RC 300. The Lexus RC 300 will be a favorite with taller drivers due to its greater front head- and legroom than the BMW 230.

Convenience
You'll be making about the same number of stops at the gas station with the BMW 230 as you will with the Lexus RC 300, as they get the same number of miles per tank of gas.

Cost
There are a lot of factors to consider when calculating the overall cost of a vehicle. The main consideration is Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP). Based on MSRP, the BMW 230 is clearly a better financial choice over the Lexus RC 300. Another consideration is the Destination Charge, which is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle to the dealer from where it's built. The BMW 230 and the Lexus RC 300 have similar Destination Charges.

Dimensions
Since the BMW 230 is much slimmer than the Lexus RC 300, it'll be much easier to find a wide enough space in a crowded parking lot. If you go with the BMW 230, you'll have a much easier time finding a large enough space to park than you will with the Lexus RC 300.

Handling
The BMW 230 has a larger turning radius than the Lexus RC 300, making it slightly more difficult to maneuver in and out of tight spots.

Performance
The BMW 230 has less horsepower than the Lexus RC 300, so it will probably be somewhat slower.

Powertrain
With somewhat higher torque, the engine of the BMW 230 transmits a bit more power to the wheels than the Lexus RC 300.

Utility
In terms of seating you'll be able to fit the same number of people in both the BMW 230 and the Lexus RC 300. With its significantly greater cargo capacity, the BMW 230 will be able to haul more equipment or luggage than the Lexus RC 300.

Warranty
The BMW 230 comes with essentially the same basic warranty as the Lexus RC 300.
