Comparison Review

Comfort
Due to its greater rear head- and legroom, backseat passengers will be able to stretch out a lot more in the Audi A8 than the Acura RLX. As far as headroom and legroom go, there's not much difference between the Audi A8 and the Acura RLX in the front seats.

Convenience
You'll be making about the same number of stops at the gas station with the Audi A8 as you will with the Acura RLX, as they get the same number of miles per tank of gas.

Cost
There are a lot of factors to consider when calculating the overall cost of a vehicle. The main consideration is Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP). The Audi A8 will definitely make more of a dent in your wallet than the Acura RLX, which has a much lower MSRP. Another consideration is the Destination Charge, which is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle to the dealer from where it's built. The Audi A8 and the Acura RLX have similar Destination Charges.

Dimensions
Since the Audi A8 is much wider than the Acura RLX, finding a wide enough spot in a parking lot may be a bit more challenging. If you go with the Audi A8, you may be circling the block looking for a space large enough to park more often than with the Acura RLX.

Drivetrain
Due to its much higher torque, the engine of the Audi A8 does a much better job of transmitting power to the wheels than the Acura RLX.

Handling
The Audi A8 has a larger turning radius than the Acura RLX, making it slightly more difficult to maneuver in and out of tight spots.

Performance
When it comes to horsepower, the Audi A8 is somewhat more powerful than the Acura RLX.

Utility
In terms of seating you'll be able to fit the same number of people in both the Audi A8 and the Acura RLX. The Audi A8 has less cargo capacity than the Acura RLX, which is okay if you don't need to move a lot in one trip.

Warranty
The Audi A8 comes with essentially the same basic warranty as the Acura RLX.
