Comparison Review

Comfort
Passengers in the back seat will be able to stretch out a lot more in the Toyota Avalon Hybrid than the Acura TLX, due to its greater head- and legroom. As far as headroom and legroom go, there's not much difference between the Acura TLX and the Toyota Avalon Hybrid in the front seats.

Convenience
The Toyota Avalon Hybrid requires fewer visits to the gas station than the Acura TLX, making it more convenient to drive.

Cost
There are a lot of factors to consider when calculating the overall cost of a vehicle. The main consideration is Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP). The Acura TLX is somewhat more expensive than the Toyota Avalon Hybrid. Another consideration is the Destination Charge, which is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle to the dealer from where it's built. The Acura TLX and the Toyota Avalon Hybrid have similar Destination Charges.

Dimensions
Since the Acura TLX is much wider than the Toyota Avalon Hybrid, finding a wide enough spot in a parking lot may be a bit more challenging. When looking at overall length, the Acura TLX takes up about the same amount of space in your garage as the Toyota Avalon Hybrid.

Drivetrain
Due to its much higher torque, the engine of the Acura TLX does a much better job of transmitting power to the wheels than the Toyota Avalon Hybrid.

Handling
The Acura TLX has a larger turning radius than the Toyota Avalon Hybrid, making it slightly more difficult to maneuver in and out of tight spots.

Performance
When it comes to horsepower, the Acura TLX has a much more powerful engine than the Toyota Avalon Hybrid. However, something you should consider is that higher horsepower engines often command higher insurance premiums.

Utility
In terms of seating you'll be able to fit the same number of people in both the Acura TLX and the Toyota Avalon Hybrid. The Acura TLX has less cargo capacity than the Toyota Avalon Hybrid, which is okay if you don't need to move a lot in one trip.

Warranty
You'll have greater peace of mind with the more generous basic warranty of the Acura TLX than that of the Toyota Avalon Hybrid.
