Comparison Review

Comfort
Passengers in the back seat will be able to stretch out a lot more in the Lexus ES 300h than the Acura TLX, due to its greater head- and legroom. As far as headroom and legroom go, there's not much difference between the Acura TLX and the Lexus ES 300h in the front seats.

Convenience
With the Lexus ES 300h you will definitely be making less frequent stops at the gas station than with the Acura TLX, due to its tank size and fuel economy.

Cost
There are a lot of factors to consider when calculating the overall cost of a vehicle. The main consideration is Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP). When looking only at MSRP, the Acura TLX will have less of an impact on your bank account than the Lexus ES 300h. Another consideration is the Destination Charge, which is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle to the dealer from where it's built. The Acura TLX and the Lexus ES 300h have similar Destination Charges.

Dimensions
Since the Acura TLX is much wider than the Lexus ES 300h, finding a wide enough spot in a parking lot may be a bit more challenging. When looking at overall length, the Acura TLX takes up about the same amount of space in your garage as the Lexus ES 300h.

Handling
The Acura TLX has a larger turning radius than the Lexus ES 300h, making it slightly more difficult to maneuver in and out of tight spots.

Performance
When it comes to horsepower, the Acura TLX has a much more powerful engine than the Lexus ES 300h. However, something you should consider is that higher horsepower engines often command higher insurance premiums.

Powertrain
Due to its much higher torque, the engine of the Acura TLX does a much better job of transmitting power to the wheels than the Lexus ES 300h.

Utility
In terms of seating you'll be able to fit the same number of people in both the Acura TLX and the Lexus ES 300h. The Acura TLX has significantly less cargo room than the Lexus ES 300h, which may be a concern if you do a lot of warehouse shopping.

Warranty
The Acura TLX comes with essentially the same basic warranty as the Lexus ES 300h.
