Excellent service and real human beings

Reviewed by James and Michele in Camano Island, WAMarch 22, 2021

My husband and I chose to buy our new truck from Bremerton even though we live in Camano Island because of the quality staff. They are genuine and not pushy. Real human beings. It goes a long way. I was VERY impressed with the values statements that were displayed inside and I believe that they actually adhere to these values. This is saying a lot from someone who is skeptical of people trying to "sell" them something and doesn't like to be bothered by salespeople. This place is worth traveling distances for to get better service.

Service Members beware

Reviewed by Chase in Joint Base Lewis Mcchord, WADecember 05, 2019

I’m a service member at Joint Base Lewis Mcchord. Drove up to West Hills CJD to purchase a vehicle and initially had a positive experience through Cody. During the final contract signing there was a situation where their finance department employee did a bait and switch by offering me an extra service for an extremely cheap price but then changing the price on the actual contract. Spoke with him the next day and was told that the issue was resolved 2 months ago I sold the vehicle that I purchased through West Hills CJD and purchased a new vehicle elsewhere. I went into the dealership to start the process of receiving a refund on the vehicles extended warranty which was never used. This is where my view of this dealership went from telling my soldiers “this dealership was a safe place to purchase a vehicle” to informing my soldiers to “stay far far away”. After speaking to the finance manager, I was told the original bait and switch was never changed (my fault, should have asked to review the contract but took their word for it due to how positive my experience originally was). I was told this refund would have to be processed by the General Manager after receiving his approval. It’s now been 2 months, I’ve been into the dealership on 3 separate occasions, spoke to 4 separate employees, and have sent numerous emails to the Financial Manager inquiring on the status of my Extend Vehicle Warranty refund as well as the refund for the bait and switched product but have yet to receive so much as a response. I sent my last email yesterday informing them that it would be my last attempt to receive an update and so far I have received nothing. Hopefully by posting here it will reach other levels in their organization and I will receive some type of resolution. If I do not receive a response by Monday then I will be going to JAG/Legal since that is the only possible course of action remaining Service members beware when dealing with West Hills CJD. It will be interesting to see if this type of situation has been experienced by any other service members aside from myself. It’s upsetting that I have to write this review after having such an initial positive experience but I have exhausted all other options.

Poor service and communication

Reviewed by Disappointed Customer in Bremerton, WaNovember 24, 2019

As a customer, I expected two main things communication and quality service. Both of these I have yet to receive from the Service Department at West Hills Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram. I had my oil changed about a month after I purchased my turck. The oil was overfilled by a quart. The oil was changed again at no charge to fix the issue. The oil life was not reset nor was the sticker changed to update the milage and date. Another issue I have is that purchased my truck the headline had a small hole in it. I had in looked at in July and it was determined that it needed to be replaced.I received no updates and called the service department in August. I left a message and never received a call back. I talked to the Service Manager a few days later. The headline was on backorder and did not have an estimated date of being filled. In October I got a call stating that the headliner was in and scheduled the appointment for repair 29 days out. I dropped my truck off at the dealership and received a rental and a promised return date of Tuesday November 19, 2019. As of November 23, 2019, my vehicle is still at the West Hills Service Department with the windshield removed and the original headliner still installed. I have no known date of return and little to no attempt by the staff of the Service Department to keep me informed on the status of repairs and possible timeline. Here is some additional insight into the problems I have encountered with the lack of communication and poor customer service. November 16 - Dropped Vehicle Off November 19 - I called the Service Department in the morning asking for an update. I got an update stating that the status of my vehicle was unknown and I would get an update later that day. I never got one. November 20 - I sent a text message asking the status and received a call saying that my vehicle was getting the windshield removed and was going to be delayed. November 21 – I went in person in the afternoon to the service department. I found my vehicle outside under a roof with the windshield removed. I talked to a service advisor about the lack of communication and inability to meet the scheduled timeline. The answer was that they are overworked, understaffed, have a lot of new staff and had no clear path forward on when my vehicle would be ready. I asked for the service advisor to find out the status of my vehicle and to give me a call back with an estimated completion date. I never received this call. I also verified that they had my number prior to leaving. November 22 - No update from the staff at the Service Department November 23 - No update from the staff at the Service Department. I went again in person to get an update. The Service Department had no idea about the status of my repair nor a timeline. I was told that the Service Manager was handling this repair personally due to the issues. I was able to get inside my vehicle and find out the headline had not been replaced.
