Horrible

Decided to go in to check out a few options (currently have a 2015 Ford Edge) and didn't have a good experience. My sales man Sam made the visit quite uncomfortable for me and my boyfriend. He greeted us and asked for my license and registration. Done. for maybe about 10 minutes, he entered my info into the system and said nothing else. No general conversation or anything to at least just get rid of the uncomfortable quietness in the showroom. So we just sat there....sitting there waiting for any other type of communication. He finally says something, just asking for the keys and passes them to a coworker. Sam goes outside. My assumption was that they were just gonna take a look at it for damages. A few minutes go by and I decided to just see what was happening. I see that my truck is on the road being driven. I go out to Sam to let him know to tell me if they are going to take it for a drive (mind you I WAS NOT TOLD THEY WOULD TAKE IT FOR A DRIVE OR MOVE IT AT ALL). The problem isn't that they needed to drive it for an appraisal, it's that I wasn't told what was happening when it was happening. At that point, Sam decided to tell me that in his 20 years of being a used car sales man that it should have been known that was going to happen. I've never done this process so how would I know what steps would be taken if I'm not being walked through? Before we even arrived, we called ahead. He then tries to belittle my comments because I should basically know what's happening and that he said that would happen when we called and spoke to him. Even after expressing my concern, there's no apology or anything of the sort for the situation. Once my key was given back, I told him to have a nice day and couldn't even give is customer the same response back. The experience provided by Sam was LESS than 1 star and he lacks customer service skills that should be required in his field of work. If I could give a negative amount, I absolutely would.

Don’t bring your car in for warranty service

This would be a 0 star review if possible. My 2012 journey had a tick in the engine, so I contacted the dealership. I discovered my specific vehicle had its warranty extended under warranty bulletin d-14-12, and the issue I was experiencing has the same symptoms as the specific warranty bulletin issued. I brought my car into snethkamp to find out if my problem was covered by warranty, and had to pay $55 to find out it wasn’t, and to be told I’d have to pay more to actually have the issue diagnosed. Why should I have to pay to find out that my issue wasn’t covered by warranty, when I only brought it in to see if it was. They originally attempted to charge me their full $110 for an hour of labor, but reduced it to $55 to get me out of the shop. I still believe I should not have had to pay to diagnose if my work was under warranty, and I essentially paid for nothing as they never told me what was wrong with my vehicle, and said I would have to pay $500 for an official diagnosis. My service representative, Michael, who helped me when I dropped the car off didn’t even come to the cashiers window to help me, and instead sent a coworker so he didn’t have to deal with me. If you’re having issues with your vehicle, take it to a reputable shop, as the people here don’t care about you and will lie to get your money.

Returned to Snethkamp Chrysler Redford to turn in my Chrysler 200 lease and lease another new vehicle. My salesman Joseph Schettler, who I leased my Chrysler 200 from 2 years ago, did a fantastic job in assisting me with my new lease. Joe found me exactly what I was looking for in my newest lease vehicle, and for a great price. The process of turning in my last vehicle and taking delivery of a new Jeep Patriot went super smooth and timely. I will definitely be back to see Joe and Snethkamp Redford when I am ready to lease my next vehicle!
