Well.
Well... I'm hardly in the mood to give this dealership any more of my time. I don't type up many reviews but this needs to be one of those times where I need the warn the community. The interaction started pretty well with our salesman when we first purchased the vehicle. Oscar is a nice guy and seems to be as accommodating as possible for the things he can control as a salesperson. However, we quickly learned that the managers are absolutely a joke to deal with. I don't say this lightly. I've owned my very successful business in the area for 27 years now.... And this is why I am calling out the horrible experience for everyone who wants to research buying a Porsche. The quick backstory is that we bought a Porsche this past February. Nice car...until it wasn't. Went into service almost immediately because the front axle needed to be replaced. Okay... life happens. whatever. Well, a few months later the other axle needed to be replaced. Okay...again... things happen (Maybe a bad batch of axles so we dealt with it) Went in for a 3rd time and now they needed to replace the whole transmission. By the way...as of the day of this review, we still don't have the vehicle back and it's been a few months. The car was in the shop 1/3 of it's time that we bought it. Pretty obvious that this vehicle cannot be considered trustworthy anymore. Of course we started the conversation with the dealership about the fact that something needs to be done. We have a recording with 2 witnesses where the salesman (Oscar) and his boss Jacob BOTH said that we god a "bad one" for sure. They said that it was a dud but they wanted to make it right. We had a simple request to just move us into a different vehicle. Just another Macan but it needed to be a better one this time. After going back and forth for about 3 weeks....they gave us an embarrassing offer. They immediately started treating this as just another car deal with a "Trade-in vehicle" and trying to sell us a newer car that would add $14,000 to the existing loan on the xxx Macan that they sold us originally. Their firm offer was to sell us a more expensive car and knock off $1000 from the advertised price rather than do whatever needed to be done to save a horrible situation that they put us in. All this hype about doing "whatever it takes" to make everything right again...and this is their solution? Knock $1000 off a new one and hope we accept the offer? My wife and I are completely disgusted with everyone at this dealership. (Oscar, Jacob, Christian especially). My wife asked the front desk lady to have the GM (Christian) to call her back since the whole discussion of what Porsche was going to do to help us was going the completely wrong direction for about 3 weeks. Well...3 days later, Christian NEVER called my wife back. She never got a call from him even though the front desk person said that he would call asap. Obviously the horrible leadership starts at the top. This whole experience proves that this dealership is ONLY in business for themselves and the customer can go fly a kite. They ONLY care about their bottom line. All of this xx about how they care about the customer is a joke. My wife has lived just a few miles from their dealership in West Lake since birth. Unfortunately for Austin Porsche.... My wife is a huge part of the Austin community and they truly have no idea how this xxxxty experience is going to backfire. 2 of her friends were about to contact this dealership about a couple of very "High-end" purchases... but let's just say that they will be shopping somewhere. Buyer beware!!! Good luck... you've been warned.
