The 2023 Nissan Pathfinder is a mid-size SUV that seats seven passengers across three rows. Last year, it was redesigned with bolder styling, which includes a larger front grille and angular headlights. Maximum cargo capacity is 80.5 cubic feet with the second- and third-row rear seats folded down.
Five trims are available: S, SV, SL, Rock Creek, and Platinum. The new Rock Creek trim includes more rugged exterior styling and a performance boost.
Under the hood, the Pathfinder features a standard 284-hp, 3.5-liter V-6 engine mated to a continuously variable automatic transmission. The new Rock Creek trim is tuned to produce 295-hp with the same powertrain. Front-wheel drive (2WD) comes standard, while four-wheel drive (4WD) is available. Fuel economy for the FWD model is an EPA-estimated rating of 20/27 mpg city/highway. It lowers slightly to a 20/25 mpg rating for the 4WD model (20/23 mpg for the Rock Creek trim).
