Granite Nissan — Misleading, Dishonest, and Financially
Granite Nissan — Misleading, Dishonest, and Financially Harmful Experience I am writing this review to warn others after an incredibly misleading and financially damaging experience at Granite Nissan. I purchased a car from them and realized within hours that I had been misled. I went in for a vehicle with good gas mileage, but the salesperson talked me into a floor model and refused to let me test drive the exact car I was buying. Instead, he had me drive a “similar” model, demonstrating features like co-pilot assist and 3D camera views. Based on that test drive, I agreed to purchase. The car I received was nothing like what I was shown. It rode stiff, was uncomfortable, and lacked the features they demonstrated. I called the dealership immediately after putting only 90 miles on it, and what followed was weeks of excuses, delays, and broken promises. I was told repeatedly that a manager would contact me—no one did. When I finally went in person, I was told the “first step” to making things right was to register the car. Trusting them, I followed their instructions. Once I registered it, their “solution” was to offer me $26,000 for a car they had just financed at $43,000—a $17,000 loss on a vehicle I had owned for only days. To make matters worse: • I asked to leave the car with them so it wouldn’t gain miles while we waited for a resolution—they refused. • They took over two weeks to send registration paperwork, forcing me to continue driving it for work. The mileage increased only because they wouldn’t take the car back. • Nissan Corporate later told me the deal could have been unwound under 100 miles—exactly where I was when I first tried returning it. On November 13th, after they told me my car was “only worth $26,000,” I received a call saying the deal couldn’t be unwound because there were now “too many miles”—miles they caused by refusing to take the car back. I was promised a follow-up call the next day (November 14th). It is now November 15th, and, just like every other promise they’ve made, no one called. This dealership sold me one car, delivered another, and then tried to force me into a massive financial loss for their mistake. I have never felt so deceived as a consumer. Stay far away. Their word cannot be trusted.

I purchased a 2025 Nissan Pathfinder on 10/20/25 at this
I purchased a 2025 Nissan Pathfinder on 10/20/25 at this dealership. Let me say that my experience was mixed. First the good; the car is outstanding so far and may wife and I love it. Good power, smooth transmission shifting by the ZF 9 speed that sometimes you would not now it shifted if your weren't looking at the tachometer. All the electronic tech items are way more than this old school guy needs. Bose sound system is awesome. I have towed a 3500 lb. trailer for 350 miles and the Pathfinder was nearly equal to my F150 with the 5.0 engine. Next, the salesman John Costello was truly fantastic. How many car salesmen/women can you say that about? John was patient and answered all of our questions. Additionally, he was very thorough with explanations of all the cars features. Third, the Business Manager Levi Bradford really worked hard to get us the best interest rate he could. Now the not so good . . . the car we purchased was advertised online to have two rebates; a Granite Nissan rebate of $7500 and a manufacture rebate of $5000. When John was summarizing the final figures the $7500 rebate was omitted! When we questioned this I provided the internet add with my laptop. John said this was a mistake and quickly got the General Manager Christina. Christina said that this was a non negotiable clerical error that could not be immediately corrected. My wife and I felt that this was a consumers rights issue that we could win through the District Attorney's office. Due to our out of state situation and time constraints we could not fight this issue to litigation. My wife asked for an additional $1000 discount on our trade but was denied by Christina. Christina eventually agreed to an additional $500 on our trade vehicle. As disappointing as the misrepresentation of the advertised price on the car was, a situation the following day was much worse. I had a trailer brake controller installed the morning after purchase by an independent mechanic. I had to find my own mechanic as the Service Department at Granite seemed disinterested in providing this courtesy service to the customer who had just purchased a 51K vehicle. The brake controller was critical for our long trip home to Seattle. After I paid $225 to an independent mechanic to do this job for me, I asked him to check the oil level for me before my long trip. The mechanic checked the dip stick twice and the oil level looked overfilled to him. He advised me to have the Dealership check it before my trip home. Later that same morning when I brought this matter to the attention of the Business Manager Levi Bradford he suggested that I disconnect my trailer and drive it to a service bay. At first I thought he was joking as the level of post purchase service was surprisingly nonchalant. At this point I made it clear to Levi that I expected a level of service that a 50+K customer deserved. Levi quickly summoned the Service Manager Justin King. Justin seemed un concerned and told me that the oil level needed to rest 10 minutes to get an accurate reading. He set a timer and said he would return in 10 minutes. At this point the vehicle had already rested for 20 minutes. After waiting for 20 minutes for Justin to return my wife and I agreed that Justin had even less concern than Levi had displayed. We promptly departed with a disappointing feeling about our overall experience at Granite Nissan.
