Service department needs much improvement

Brought my car in to have the air bag recall fixed. I was promised my vehicle by that afternoon. I received a call stating it'd be ready around 4pm instead. I went to pick it up around 4:30 and was told that it wasn't ready and it would be ready later that evening. I said I'd pick it up in the morning. I was assured it'd be ready by that evening but I would be able to pick it up when they opened at 7:30am. Around 9am the following day, I received a text message stating that it wasn't ready and the battery terminal had corrosion on it. They would charge me $95.00 to fix it if they broke it in the process of fixing my recalled air bag. I've never heard of anyone charging that amount of money to replace a battery terminal. I called to explain that I'd be by to get my vehicle, replace the terminal myself, and bring it back to hopefully have the air bag fixed in some kind of timely manner. The service technician wasn't helpful and just gave excuses in an unpleasant tone, instead of trying to help the situation. I'm just at a loss that the customer service is so poor. It's a recall, at a fault of a company, not my own. And for future reference to anyone having to get a recall fixed, I had to call 4 times and text once just to get my air bag fixed. The letters they send you in the mail are useless, the recall id# means nothing to get your car fixed. They will only accept the full VIN# when trying to get an appointment. Also, I tried to do an appointment by text, It also doesn't work, I was told to still call at the end of the text conversation.

Beware....not an honest dealership

BEWARE not honest people!...Don't buy a car from Modern Nissan of Winston Salem We negotiated a deal on the phone with salesman, gave all our info including credit card. Told on Friday we were set to get it on Saturday. Receive text this morning as we were getting ready to leave (only because we texted salesman that we were leaving) that the GM, Brian, sold the car from under us yesterday. I don't even care about the car at this point...it's the principle. As someone who has been in marketing for 35 years, this is VERY POOR business ethics.

Best Car Buying Experience Ever!

I had a truly wonderful experience in purchasing a car from Modern Nissan. In fact, it was the best I've ever had. Our salesman, Joe Shaw, was knowledgeable, patient, professional, and friendly. I normally dread talking to car salesmen because of previous bad experiences, but Joe was nothing like the past pushy, rude salesmen I've worked with. He was genuinely interested in getting me the car that I wanted, and was encouraging while not being PUSHY. He could not have made it a more comfortable, enjoyable experience-- even with my indecisiveness and wavering regarding the exact car I wanted! We ended up with a 2015 Nissan Altima and we could not be happier with it! My husband and I were both thrilled with our service from the moment we entered the doors to the moment we left. We have already been telling our friends about our wonderful experience there, hoping they visit Modern Nissan too. Lewis and Reggie were the two other people we worked with and their expertise and professionalism were just as impressive as Joe's. 10 stars all around!
