3 STRIKES!!! Avoid this place at all cost. Changed names so many times I can’t keep up (same staff). Everyone from the service advisors to salesmen to finance manager are crooks trying to sell you something (everyone on commission?). I’ve owned 3 Nissan’s (2 from here) and the one I purchased in 2018 will be the last. I’ll be smart and go to Toyota or Honda. The Pathfinder I purchased new last year in January (didn’t really start driving till August due to the FACT I was out of work on workers comp). My wife was pregnant at the time and didn’t drive much either. When so, she mostly drove her car. During my last oil change and tire rotation I was told all 4 tires were no good and unsafe (2/32? or whatever) and my brake pads needed to be changed. I asked how was that possible when I haven’t driven the truck much (32k). And during the previous oil change no problems reported (have proof from the printouts, that is unless they don’t really check or do anything; more about that later). You’re telling me tires went from excellent tread to none in 3,000 miles!?! Only thing anyone can say is “oh that’s possible”. Really? Anyway I start on my options. I had purchased a wheel and tire warranty. The finance manager hailed it as a great purchase you would be happy to have when you need it. Now I need it and it is useless. Covers absolutely nothing the average driver would encounter. Waste of $1000 (currently filing cancellation paperwork hopefully for a prorated refund). Next option was the tire manufacturer. I’ve purchased plenty of vehicles and tires in my lifetime. Have always known tires to give 70-80k mile tread wear warranties. Upon contacting them more of the same. They ask me to submit proof the tires came with the vehicle and that they were new. Tire info not on sales agreement. Ask Thruway if the tires were new at time of purchase and can they show proof. Nothing as of today, 7/8/19. All I get is a bunch of people saying “new cars are sold with new tires”. PROVE IT! This isn’t the first bad interaction I have had with this dealer. Against my better judgement (and with wife’s insistence) I went back here. I also have emails and voicemails as proof of anything I’ve said. Before I caught them charging me for a service they didn’t do . I suspected it so before one oil change and tire rotation on wife’s vehicle I checked the oil and initialed the tires with chalk. My initials on one side, wife’s on other. Reverse for rear. My handwriting. Inside tire wall. Video recorded all. After “service” and payment, went out to car got down on my belly and checked. Same. Went back in and spoke with a service advisor. Told them about it and how I knew. They go into garage talk to a “tech”. Come back out to say sorry they must have missed it, doing a lot of work, think inspecting your brakes threw him off. I emailed the service manager about the incident and was given free oil changes. Okay. STRIKE x1. After that incident I gave benefit of doubt. Went in for oil change, tire rotation, and state inspection. By the way there is NO EXPRESS OIL CHANGE. It’s false advertising. Anyway ssdd, sit wait, maybe 2 hours with only 2 other ppl there. They come to tell you vehicles done. Pay. Go out do my tire check. Ok rotated. As soon as I sit in car I notice the old inspection sticker. I go back inside and tell them. They swear up and down he just forgot to change it. Ok give it to me I’ll put it up. And while you’re at it I need the inspection printout that’s supposed to accompany the sticker. After advisor talks to tech he asks for my keys. I sarcastically nod and say yeah. He drives vehicle back into garage. For a sticker? Of course not. Tech forgot the inspection. But they didn’t forget to charge me for it (payment receipt time is well before inspection printout time). I don’t think they realize if I leave they have committed theft. Charged me for a service they did not do. I contact the service manager. Sales manager. Anyone with manager in their title.
