I found a vehicle on their website and reached out for
I found a vehicle on their website and reached out for more details, to which they confirmed was still available at the price I saw it listed for. Later on, they did admit the price was a mistake, but assured me they would honor it. I submitted a finance application and shortly thereafter received a call that I had a “really strong approval”. They sent me over the details of the loan (down payment, monthly payment, interest rate, etc…). MICHAEL SHARPTON, the SALES MANAGER at Jeff Wyler Nissan of Louisville, told me the bank needed a couple of documents to finalize the deal. I wasn’t able to obtain one of these documents until the next day, to which Michael assured me they would hold the vehicle for 48 hours for me. Michael’s communication with me became short and only via email, even after I requested that he call me. The next morning I sent over the last document the lender needed to finalize the deal. Michael eventually replied, said he would send the document to the bank, and get back with me once it was “approved”. Eventually, he called me and said he had some not-so-great news. He stated that the bank was now denying the loan for the vehicle I was interested in. This didn’t make any sense though, considering I had a “really strong approval” the day before, with an APR of 8.79% on a used vehicle. I asked him several times why the bank was denying it now and all he could tell me was, “well this is what banks do” and “banks can change their minds” and “an approval isn’t really an approval” and blah blah blah — statements that just didn’t seem quite right. I said I wanted an answer from the bank and why they were now denying me. He told me he was going to “escalate the issue to someone higher up” at the lender. Shortly thereafter, he calls me back and makes several more questionable statements: “The bank is denying a loan on this particular vehicle now. I’ve put in the exact VIN and they are denying it. They don’t think this is the vehicle for you. They think you need something different. They want you to be in something different with a lower price. I don’t know why they are denying it now. You should be thankful you are even getting a loan, I basically had to beg this lender to even touch you.” So yesterday I had a “really strong approval” and now he’s claiming that he had to beg them to give me loan? I just simply don’t believe him at this point. I told him since he couldn’t give me an actual reason to their denying me for the loan on this vehicle, I was going to call them myself. This made him completely irate. “Well if you think I am lying to you then we just can’t do business with you.” I asked him several times for the name of the bank before he finally gave it to me. I also asked for the application number to which he said, “see you don’t know what you’re talking about. That’s not even a thing.” Oh, and he also threatened to CALL THE POLICE on me during this conversation if I showed up to the dealership. I call the bank, the representative pulls up my details, and states that NOTHING has changed with the loan terms for that specific vehicle. He stated they received all necessary documents, and were waiting on the dealership to finalize. Michael was lying and gaslighting me about everything. I call Michael back. He states, “I have the denial right in front of me. I’m not lying to you. I just can’t do business with you” blah blah blah. More xx. More lies. More gaslighting. I get transferred to another manager, Ryan Amburgey. Ryan was completely aware of this entire situation. He stated, “Unfortunately, the vehicle has been sold. We don’t do holds on any used vehicles at all, it’s against company policy.” He then went on to dismiss Michael’s actions, referring to the whole situation as just a “misunderstanding”. Again, more gaslighting. I was treated horribly by this dealership. I caught them in a giant web of lies. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM.

Purchasing a new Rogue Platinum through Corey was easier
Purchasing a new Rogue Platinum through Corey was easier and he was thorough on covering the new features and setting several to get me started. Going through the financing with Justin was easy and no pressure to add extended warranties. I had several options purchasing which Michael went over all so I could make the best decision. I liked that if any question came up I could make a call to Cory and receive an answer quickly. I love driving my Rogue but still learning the many features on it. I did have previous experiences with Wyler in the service dept. on my 2010 Altima that I sold after 16 years. Do your homework before purchasing a new vehicle to know what you want and test drive. Thanks to all at Wyler making this a good experience.
