Worst car buying experience ever. First, we called the Somerset location Friday about a truck. They said they would get us a quote. Several calls and a day later, no quote. Called the Lexington location Saturday, they said they could get the truck delivered to Lexington and gave us a quote. I had questions immediately following the quote, got no response, so we stopped by. Waited half an hour, finally got to talk to the salesman Ray Harrison. We agreed on a price, signed a paper agreeing to it, and were told the truck was available and would be in Lexington before they closed at 7pm. We were going to come back, test drive it, and finish paperwork when it arrived. At 6:30 pm we call and text because we hadn't heard from them. 7pm Saturday came and went, no word from them. They were closed Sunday. They opened at 8am Monday, still no word till 11am, when we get a text from Ray saying the truck had been sold. Seriously??? They couldn't even call and apologize or explain??? Then when I call to complain, the manager David Byrd basically calls me a liar and says that Ray told us the truck had been sold on Saturday. When I objected, he asked me to send pictures of my text communications with Ray to basically prove that Ray hadn't texted us till Monday. I guess Ray was innocent until proven guilty rather than the customer. He seemed more concerned about contesting the events than making it right, and then tried to persuade me not to leave a negative review. I guess we should have put money down to hold the truck, but we weren't told we needed to, and had signed for it, so we assumed it was ours and we would be back later to finish up as agreed. In hindsight, they probably sold the truck to someone else for more money and just decided to screw us over. I'm glad we didn't do the financing before it arrived! Else they probably would have tried to stick us with something else we didn't want and we would have had a hit on our credit report. I wouldn't advise ever going to any Don Franklin dealership. It's a nightmare to get any service at all, then when you do, they say one thing and do another. I realize things are a little crazy with the pandemic, but this was ridiculous. Don't waste your time.

After spending the first half of the day having an awful experience with a local dealer, I looked online and I found the specific car I wanted at the Don Franklin dealership. It was an hour and a half away from where we lived. Not wanting to waste the miles or their time, I called to see if they could get me the car at the price I wanted. After 15 minutes total they had met my price point and a statement was being emailed to lock in the price. I was beyond impressed with Jon Berry who helped us with the entire process. He was no nonsense and upfront about everything. We called on the drive there and he had everything ready when we arrived. The entire process there took an hour. We left with the exact car I wanted at an even lower monthly payment then I asked. Very impressed with this dealership and we would drive an hour and a half again for our next one.
