I don't recommend doing business with General Sales Manager, Tim Canady, Salesperson, Amy Perdue or anyone else at Vaden of Statesboro. I specifically recommend not using this service department as Service Manager, Robert Reagan has either built an incompetent service department or a department that just doesn’t care. My wife uses Vaden of Savannah to service her Escalade and we will be taking our money to Hilton Head Cadillac from this point forward. Every aspect of this dealership is built on unethical practices and immoral behaviors.
This past December, I traded in a beautiful F-150 King Ranch for a used 2015 Tahoe in an effort to have more cabin space with two small children and a business that keeps me on the road daily. Vaden of Statesboro sent me home with a loaner vehicle so that they could have the vehicle thoroughly inspected and serviced prior to delivery. Delivery was taking a little longer than expected but my salesperson, Amy Perdue assured me that the vehicle was being properly inspected and serviced. A few hours after delivery I turned on the A/C only to find the air was blowing warm. I immediately contacted my salesperson Amy Perdue about the issue. I scheduled a service online and a few days later I took the vehicle to service at Vaden of Pooler. The condenser was found to be bad. In order for the repair to be made, Vaden of Statesboro had to authorize the repair because it had been less than a week since I purchased the vehicle. Initially, Vaden of Statesboro profusely refused to authorize the repair because they wanted it brought back to their shop. Mind you, I have an extended platinum warranty on the vehicle as well, but Vaden of Statesboro was still denying the claim. After arguing with them over the course of several hours, they finally approved for Vaden of Pooler to do the repair.
Fast forward 2.5 months and I take the vehicle into Vaden of Pooler for routine service and brake recall issue. While performing the routine service the service tech informs me that the tires and rear brake pads are in very bad shape. He explained that the inside of the tires were bald and the rear brake pads were less than 3mm. My first question was, is this my fault and could I have caused this issue from my 2.5 months of ownership. I was assured that this was in no way my doing, that this issue was present well before I bought the vehicle and should have been corrected before it was purchased.
It was clear to me at that point that Vaden of Statesboro did not service the vehicle nor did they inspect the vehicle properly before selling. Tim Canady, Amy Perdue, and Sean MacAulay were just worried about making a sale and Service Manager Robert Reagan clearly didn’t care what condition the vehicle was in before it was delivered. Having two small children this frustrates me to no end. This vehicle has not been safe for them to ride in since purchasing. I have since requested the General Motors Multi-Point Inspection report that was done prior to delivery. Tim Canady sent me a repair order from when the vehicle was in Brunswick so it seems as if there is not a GM MPI report on file in Statesboro for this vehicle.
Vaden of Statesboro has offered to pay for half of the tires but nothing more. That still leaves me out of pocket over $1100 for an issue that should have been corrected prior to purchase. When I told Tim Canady that wasn’t acceptable his only reply was well that’s all that they are willing to offer. Vaden of Statesboro has not apologized for their oversight and negligence nor have they agreed to any additional concessions for an issue that should have been caught well before I purchased the vehicle. I will continue to rate this dealership a one (1) on all surveys and recommend others stay as far away as possible.

Our car had to be placed in the shop for repairs for a lengthy amount of time. We had discovered renting a car was more of a hassle than thought. So we began our relationship with Vaden of Statesboro by renting a car. Victor was very nice and went above and beyond to get us in a nice Nissan Maxima for a few days. We loved the car so much we inquired about some of the purchasing options. We were put in contact with Maria Columbus. We had our hearts set on purchasing a Maxima. Maria invited us to the dealership to look at different vehicles to make sure we are 100% satisfied with what we want. After looking at different vehicles we discovered that we loved the Nissan Rogue. Then we picked the package that the Rogue had to offer. Maria was very accommodating! She made gave us her undivided attention and made us feel at home. She definitely broke the mold of a traditional car salesman. We very much reccomend Vaden of Statesboro. And Maria Colombus. They made it possible for us to drive home our 2018 Nissan Rogue!
