2021 Nissan Altima Overview

The 2021 Nissan Altima is a popular mid-size sedan that received a redesign last year.

Five trims are available: S, SV, SR, SL, and Platinum.

The Altima is powered by a standard 188-hp, 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine mated to a continuously variable transmission (CVT) and front-wheel drive (FWD). An all-wheel drive (AWD) model is also available, but horsepower decreases to 182-hp. A more powerful 248-hp, turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder model joined with the CVT and FWD is available.

Fuel economy for the FWD model has an EPA-estimated rating of 28/39 mpg city/highway. It lowers to a 25/35 mpg rating for the AWD model. The Turbo model has a slightly lower rating of 25/34 mpg.
