The 2023 Mitsubishi Outlander is a compact SUV that seats up to seven passengers across three rows. Last year, it was redesigned with a bolder iteration of Mitsubishi’s Dynamic Shield styling. Standard interior features include a seven-inch multimedia display, Bluetooth connectivity, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto compatibility, and USB-A and USB-C front charging ports. Maximum cargo capacity is 79.7 cubic feet with the rear seats folded down.
Five trims are available: ES, SE, SE Black Edition, SEL, and SEL Launch Edition.
Under the hood, the Outlander is powered by a standard 181-hp, 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine mated to a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT). Front-wheel drive (FWD) comes standard, while all-wheel drive is optional. Fuel economy for the FWD Outlander is a best EPA-estimated rating of 24/31 mpg city/highway. It slightly decreases to a 24/30 mpg rating for the AWD model.
