Don't Overpay for Your New Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross

2024 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross Overview

Mitsubishi’s Eclipse Cross greets 2024 with newly standard equipment and continues to be available in four trim levels: ES, LE, SE and SEL. The SUV also gets new pricing: It now starts at $27,995 (all prices include $1,445 destination).

What’s New
On the LE, proximity keyless entry and starting are now standard. The SE gets adaptive cruise control, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, rear USB port, and hands-free power liftgate with kick sensor under the rear bumper. Additionally, an off-road-inspired special edition, likely related to Mitsubishi’s Ralliart performance division, will be revealed later in the year.

Those who don’t pay attention to Mitsubishi when buying a car may not realize what a good warranty the automaker offers. It has a 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty and a five-year/60,000-mile limited warranty, plus five years/unlimited miles of roadside assistance. For 2024, the marque is adding two years/30,000 miles of free maintenance covering the first three oil and filter changes, a cabin air filter change, plus inspections and tire rotations.

Performance and Trim Levels
All 2024 Eclipse Crosses are powered by a turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine making 152 horsepower and 184 pounds-feet of torque, with a continuously variable automatic transmission sending power to all four wheels. The base SE trim rides on 16-inch wheels and includes LED lighting front and rear, a telescoping steering wheel, 7-inch touchscreen with HD radio and Bluetooth, and automatic climate control. Standard safety equipment includes lane departure warning and forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking and pedestrian detection.

The LE adds rain-sensing windshield wipers, the aforementioned proximity keyless entry and starting, heated front seats, an 8-inch touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, black 18-inch wheels, and black trim on the side mirrors, door handles and badging. The SE includes an eight-way power driver’s seat, synthetic suede upholstery, navigation, two more speakers (for a total of six), adaptive cruise control and dual-zone climate control. It also adds blind spot monitors with rear cross-traffic alert, and a power panoramic moonroof is available.

A monochromatic exterior with body-color lower trim differentiates the SEL, which also includes paddle shifters, leather upholstery, a heated steering wheel, eight-way power passenger seat and 360-degree camera system. The available Touring Package includes heated rear seats, the panoramic moonroof, an upgraded audio system with eight speakers, head-up display and a higher speed range for the forward collision mitigation system.
