HORRIBLE SERVICE GUY!!!

I have purchased all of my vehicles since 2000 through GMC and several of those cars at Art Moran with dealer Lawrence Gates who is amazing!!!! However, In the 19 years that I have been getting my vehicles serviced at this dealership I have NEVER encountered a RUDE, Unprofessional and Pompous individual in the service department until today (4/12/2021). I arrived for a scheduled oil change and a key fob check and this service guy named, Tim, insisted that it was the batteries that prevented the key fob from working. I explained to him that I had changed the batteries, but I believed that it was not programmed properly because it never worked!!! He insisted on sending me to the service department to replace the battery although I kept telling him that I had already done that. Being that I was once an engineer, the battery would be the first problem solving approach to fix the fob!!! However, he wanted to argue back and forth and continue to insist that it was the battery and not the programming!!! All I came to the dealership today for was an oil change and a key fob check and this guy had to be a argumentative jerk!!! I walked away and requested to speak with a manager and this dude continued to be argumentative, rude and antagonizing to get a rise out of me, but I did my very best to ignore him. Fortunately, after speaking with the manager (Ron) he quickly resolved the situation and that’s why I raised my star from a 1, which it should have been a 0, to a 3 because of the manager’s professionalism and great customer service skills!!!!

Poor sales staff

Called about a vehicle that I was interested in. No response back after 2 days. I decided to go to the dealership in person. The the salesman was very intimidating in your face kind of tactics right from the start, which I was not going to tolerate. The manager did not want to be bothered to intervene, instead he went on a smoke break. This had to be one of the strangest dealership experiences I've ever had.

Inappropriate Sales Associate

I never experience inappropriate behavior/sexual harassment like I did at Art Moran Buick GMC. The guy who sold me my car, Norman Graves was very inappropriate as I came for an oil change back in July. He made sexual references and made me feel extremely uncomfortable. He would flirt with me whenever I came in and I would shut them down and tell him to continue to flirt with my mom because he was closer to her age. He finally took it too far and I told my father after I left, he called the dealership and the general manager pretty much dismissed it which caused my dad to go up there. Their HR manager said she would be suspending him (I don’t know if it happened), he called my cell phone the next day and I let the dealership know. After a little while they did nothing so my dad called GMC and they dismissed it as well. I am leaving a bad review because NO ONE should feel uncomfortable while getting their car serviced, especially after telling someone to stop. Inappropriate behavior like that should not be done while in a professional setting and I wanted to warn others of the way they operate here at Art Moran.
