2016 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class Overview

The two-seat SL-Class, a retractable-hardtop convertible, is constructed mostly of aluminum and equipped with a choice of V-6 or V-8 engines in luxury guise and with V-8 or V-12 power in AMG performance models. The SL competes with four-seaters like the BMW 6 Series.

New for 2016
Horsepower for the SL 550’s V-8 jumps by 20 to 449 hp. Mercedes will offer 400 units of a Mille Miglia Edition with unique paint and trim to commemorate the brand’s exploits in the Italian open-road, 1,000-mile endurance race.
