The 2017 Mercedes-Benz Metris is a midsize commercial van with two configurations: the Cargo Van and Passenger Van. The Metris Cargo Van has a maximum payload/towing capacity of 2,502/5,000 pounds. The Metris Passenger Van can seat up to 8 passengers with an optional rear bench.

The Metris is made for a city-friendly driving experience. It has a boxy, yet aerodynamic appearance that features a bold front grille and hollowed out door panels. The front- and rear-bumpers come in standard black, but color matching bumpers are available as well. Standard features include a fully automatic power sliding passenger-side rear door, 50/50 split swing-out door, fully automatic headlights, and 16-inch steel wheels. Powering the Metris is a standard 208-hp, turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine mated to a 7-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive. Fuel economy for the Metris Cargo Van is an EPA-estimated 21/24 mpg city/highway, while the Metris Passenger Van has 20/23 mpg rating.

Inside, the Metris features a black interior with convenient, small storage compartments. The center console feature a standard multimedia system that includes a 5.8-inch display, Bluetooth connectivity for phone and audio, and a USB port. Remote keyless entry, a tilt steering wheel, a power front windows also come standard. Optional features include d-rings for cargo, interior carpeting, automatic climate control, heated front seats, rear HVAC, cruise control, and an integrated navigation system.

Standard safety features include an advanced airbag system, antilock brakes, an electronic stability system, a tire-pressure monitoring system, and crosswind assist.
